Background

Christopher Cheruiyot joined Team Run-Fast in the spring of 2015.

Making his European debut at the Bristol Half Marathon, alongside team-mate Morris Muene Gachaga, Christopher achieved a new personal best for this distance. Although placing second in the race to his compatriot Gachaga, Christopher’s time of 61:42 also saw him run faster than the course record. The following week, he set an impressive PB of 29:10 at the Swansea Bay 10km.

Christopher was born and raised in Iten, Kenya, a town known around the world as The Home of Champions. He has five brothers and three sisters and hopes that, with hard work and determination, his future successes in athletics will help him build a better life for him and his siblings. His ambition is to be known as one of the half marathon greats before moving into a career in the full marathon.
