Background

Dominic has been a member of Team Run-Fast since 2013. His race season opened at the Brighton Marathon, which was not only his first race for the team but his first marathon outside of Africa. Dominic took 1st position in what was a new personal best for him at the time and also smashed the course record by 77 seconds.

Later that year Dominic traveled to Australia for the Medibank Melbourne Marathon where he placed 3rd in a highly competitive race which saw the course record broken. He then defended his title at the MTN Marathon in Kampala, Uganda, setting a new course record.

In his first race of 2014 Dominic returned to the UK to defend his title at the Brighton Marathon. Although narrowly missing out on the win, Dominic ran a very strong race into 2nd position in a new personal best time of 2:09:36, almost a full minute under the course record he set last year.

Dominic is the two-time champion of the Mwea Classic Marathon in his home country, Kenya.
