Jonah competes in the T46 Paralympic classification “single arm, above or below elbow amputation”. Jonah is a former IPC Athletics World Champion over 1500m and competed at the London Paralympic Games over 800m and 1500m. Jonah has achieved success at distances from 5000m and above and but is now progressing his career on the UK road racing circuit.

In his race debut for Team Run-Fast he ran a personal best time of 28.54 at the 2014 Swansea Bay 10k, winning the race and breaking the World Record for his category of disability over 10k. So impressive was his performance it also broke the 10000m track world record. Jonah continued in spectacular form throughout the remainder of 2014, winning all of his races and achieving three new personal best times.

Keeping up his great form, Jonah ran a successful set of races in the first part of 2015. After a summer spent training in his native Kenya, he returned to the UK fresh for the Chippenham Half on 6 September. In spectacular fashion Jonah not only took first place (more than nine minutes ahead of the second finisher) but also smashed the course record by 4 minutes.

Jonah’s friendly, easy going nature and good humour make him a real asset to the team.
