Background

Victor rose to prominence at the 2012 Gothenburg Half Marathon, where he not only took the win but broke the course record in an outstanding time of 60.25. Later in the year ensured himself a place in the prestigious sub-60 half marathon club with a 59:31 performance at the CPC Loop Den Haag in the Netherlands. Victor secured three in-race personal best times during the CPC which included going through 10km in an astonishing 27:54.  Book-ending a successful year, Victor subsequently debuted at marathon distance in Frankfurt where, racing against a strong field, he posted an impressive first attempt time of 2:09:16

In 2013 Victor proved that his achievement in the Hague was no fluke, clocking another sub-60 at the Berlin Half Marathon.

In spring 2014, he broke the course record at the Warsaw Half Marathon by 30 seconds, running the fastest time ever at this distance on Polish soil. Later in the same year, he won the Warsaw Marathon in an impressive 2:09:59.

At the 2016 Santiago Marathon in Chile, Victor battled extreme humidity to win the race and also break the course record by 42 seconds.

Victor’s plan now is to improve upon his time over both marathon and half marathon.
