Run-Fast athlete Moses Kibet put in a superb performance at the Wörthersee Half Marathon in Austria on Sunday, finishing 2nd in a new personal best time of 60:44.
This was an improvement on his previous best (set in the hilly Madrid Half in April of this year) of over a minute, and also earns him IAAF Gold Label status (the highest ranking available). He will now be eligible for some of the best races in the world, which only accept Gold Label athletes. Moses is only 20 years old and this is our first year working with him. Our other athlete in the race, Ezrah Sang, finished 4th in 61:59.
As a consequence of his strong performance, Moses has now been invited to the Wachau Half (also in Austria) on 17 September. A point-to-point race alongside the River Danube, Wachau is always a fast race, with a course record of 59:53.
